about me

I am the most deplorable autobiographer. Ever.
Considering that fact, I think it's in everyone's best interest if I keep this short and sweet.
Prior to moving to New York, I spent most of my childhood reading and learning, which continues today. I graduated from high school with honors, went to college for astrophysics, and dropped out after a while due to record label negotiations with my band. I'd never formally coded anything until that band - Urbane - needed a website. Afterwards, it was like an addiction; coding was essentially the only thing I did (massive amounts of gaming aside). I was hired at [[Situation Interactive]] during a random 3-day vacation to the city and moved a few weeks afterward. Since then, I've held a lead role in shaping the company's use of technology, written countless lines of code, and mentored numerous colleagues and other professionals as the development supervisor. I spend most of my spare time learning new techniques, refining old ones, and studying various fields of science. I am a self-diagnosed obsessive-compulsive with regard to syntax, formatting, programming logic, and serial commas.
